 Teresa Hennen
Worship Team Coordinator
Reared in a devout Christian home and the granddaughter of
missionaries to Mexico, Teresa “believed in Jesus” from her earliest
recollections. Although saved “every year at camp” as a youngster, it
was at age 23, Teresa experienced the full understanding of her
salvation by grace alone. While growing up, Teresa’s father was a
professional tenor in a renowned international Christian quartet, and
he also directed a Christian touring choir. She accompanied her father
often and gained a passion for music and an appreciation for hard work
and excellence in music performance to the Glory of God. In addition
to fulfilling what she calls her “primary vocation” . . . raising her
family, Teresa has also been a business owner and has spoken at
business conventions on business development and people skills.
Additionally, Teresa holds a certificate in Clinical Psychiatry and
has worked as a Registered Nurse.
Well qualified to serve as Hope’s Worship Team Coordinator, Teresa,
has been involved with worship ministries for 16 years, served in
summer camp ministries for 20 years and has performed in, as well as
written, directed and produced large musical productions. She began
singing in area churches at age 7, and although she loves to perform,
her passion is leading worship. She proclaims, “Leading worship is a
way to sing and point ALL of the Glory to God… There is nothing better
than that … I feel complete when I can sing praises to the King with
other believers.” As Hope’s Worship Team Coordinator, Teresa is using
her musical gifts and administrative/people skills while supporting
the Worship Leader with a unified and passionate Worship Team. Teresa
is truly fulfilling her heartfelt aspirations … and bringing glory to
her King!
Teresa and her husband, John, have been married 22 years and have 4
children.
