Let me get right to the point and ask you a question: What are you fighting for? Are you fighting for fame? Fortune? Retirement? Reputation? Recognition? Personal Goals? What about your relationship with the Lord? Have you been fighting for that one too?

1 Timothy 6:12 tells us to, "Fight the good fight of the faith." I find in this life, there are many battles that we get ourselves into. Battles that often detour us from the plan...GOD'S PLAN. This passage of scripture is very interesting when you break it down in the original text. We read, "Fight the good fight of faith" but the original language gives us a different look. Check this out: To enter into a praiseworthy, approved contest in a place of assembly for the conviction of truth. The key word here is APPROVED. So in light of this interpretation, the question for all of us would be this: Are you fighting an approved fight or are you distracted by all the "STUFF" this world has to offer?

Some would ask, "What is an approved fight?" I'm glad you asked:) Matthew 6:25-34 gives us a look at the perimeters of this APPROVED BATTLE. Please take some time and look at the whole passage. For now, we will look at verse 33....."But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Your approved fight should be to draw nearer to the Lord. When we do this, everything else will work out. Do you really believe it? I pray that you do!

Today, would you consider quitting some of those battles that really don't mean anything and join the Good Fight Of Faith.
